This Wedge Tomb sits on a sandune overlooking Streedagh beach, Sligo and Donegal coastlines. Behind it is an incredible view of Benbulben and the Dartry Mountain Range.
Seaweed At Streedagh Beach in Sligo
Sea Weed washed up onto the back beach at Streedagh in Sligo, Ireland. There's so much of there that it forms a carpet across alot of the beach, I felt black and white suited this best as it brought out the textures in the image.
Fossilised Coral On Strandhill Beach, Sligo
Fossilised coral and animals can be found along the back end of Strandhill Beach in Sligo, however very few are as high a quality as this. It's easy to imagine it moving and hard to believe it lived millions of years ago in tropical waters, not exactly todays environment!
Ripples in Sand
It's easy to forget what you're walking on when you visit the beach but sand can create some really interesting and abstract photography. These sand ripples were taken on Strandhill Beach in Sligo, Ireland
Pebbles - Long Exposure
This photograph isolates a section fo the beach at low tide at Aughris, County Sligo. The beach is rough sand and mostly pebbles creating this beautiful soft water effect as the waves recede.
A long exposure photograph of waves hitting the coast of Sligo at Aughris. The sea was turbulent with strong currents but had a devastating beauty about it with rich greens showing through the backwash.
