This is an abstract black and white of a wave hitting an exposed coastal rock and the spray from the force of the impact. I used a very fast shutter speed to capture the action and freeze the moment. The sharp sharks teeth rocks create the perfect background to compliment the force of the waves.
Downpatrick Head - Sea Stack
Waves crash against the Sea Stack at Downpatrick Head in Co Mayo, Ireland. They are relentless, creating hollows of water that are immideatly backfilled with more huge waves off the Atlantic. However between the deep blue and green colours created by the waves and the wind carving shaped into the surface it creates some breathtaking views.
This is an abstract long exposure photograph of waves meeting the coast in County Mayo, Ireland. The blue, black and green colours give it a sense of power and the exposure was short enough to keep some definition in the waves also give a sense of movement.
